The Web has proven itself in recent years as a rich platform for full-featured online applications. The connectivity that the Internet provides makes it an excellent environment for communication, information, collaboration, and interaction. The use of the Web as an application platform provides several advantages. The proliferation of Web standards and open-source software has helped the Internet also become accessible from a wide range of platforms and configurations. Client computers can be very light, without a need for expensive high-performance hardware. Applications are easy to update and maintain, because they are hosted on a central server or a "cloud" environment.
Adoleo's Mission
Adoleo Web Development endeavors to continue this innovation on the Web by building dynamic online applications on a strong open-source foundation, embracing standards to maximize compatibility across a variety of hardware and operating systems.
To do this, Adoleo leverages the Django Web framework built on the excellent Python programming language. Python's focus on human readability and its comprehensive standard library coupled with Django's extensive features and emphasis on the DRY (don't repeat yourself) principals make them the perfect platform for Adoleo's creative and functional Web applications.
On the front end, Adoleo integrates attractive and usable designs with clean, standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Adoleo uses the jQuery and Dojo JavaScript toolkits to allow for the rapid development of rich user interfaces and increase cross-platform compatibility.
